What Holds It Together
Nothing you do is without meaning.
A single act — of justice or of neglect — ripples from one street to the whole world. Small faithfulness matters at the largest scale, and even the world’s ruin is never the final word: what is broken can be restored. That shape is built into everything the game simulates.
We show; we never preach. The world earns your wonder rather than demanding it.
No way of life is crowned by its name. A society is weighed only by its fruit — how it treats the weakest among it, and whether it leads people toward liberty.
A Living Earth
A whole planet, modeled on the real Earth — its mountains, coasts, climate, and sky. It runs on real forces, not stagecraft, so it behaves the way a world should: indifferent to your plans, generous beyond your labor, alive whether you are watching or not.
Stand on real geography — recognizable coastlines, ranges, and rivers drawn from true elevation data. Rise from street level to the curve of the planet in one continuous sweep. The land can be sculpted and shaped, and it remembers what you do to it.
Wind, pressure, and temperature flow from real atmospheric circulation. Storms form and travel; seasons turn with the tilt of the world; deserts, monsoons, and snow belong to the places they would on Earth. The weather is a living system you can read — and feel.
Water gathers where real elevation sends it — rivers run downhill, lakes fill basins, coasts meet the sea. It moves, it catches the light, and over time its very color answers to the life within it.
The sun crosses the sky on its true astronomical path; dawn and dusk arrive where and when they should. Clouds drift with the wind the weather actually drives, and on the right nights, the aurora answers to real space weather overhead.
Vegetation belongs to its biome — the right trees and grasses for the climate, swaying in the very wind the weather drives. Wildlife moves through it. The living world fills the land you tend, and it flourishes or fades by how you keep it.

Every biome shapes its terrain, climate, and the life that grows there. Lush vegetation and wildlife are rolling out biome by biome — Taiga first.
The People
The people who fill your world are not interchangeable dots. Each is born, grows, ages, and passes. They carry families, faces, faith, and frailty — and they respond, in the end, to how they are treated.
People are born and grow old as the world turns — childhood, adulthood, and age all read on the body and the face. Time is real here, and so are its seasons of life.
People pair, raise families, and pass their traits to their children. You can follow a lineage across generations — faithfulness, fortune, and resemblance carried down the years — so the story of a place is the story of its families.
Every person has a distinct face and body, inherited from their parents and shaped by the whole range of real human variation — height, build, age, and ancestry. The crowd you walk through is genuinely a crowd of individuals.
Regions carry their own faiths, customs, and dress, blending naturally across borders the way real cultures do. What a people believes and values shapes how they live — and how they respond to the world you build around them.
Wellbeing is real. Crowding, neglect, hardship, and loneliness weigh on people; safety, beauty, community, and care lift them. A city that looks prosperous can still be quietly breaking its people — and you will see it.
Populations move toward opportunity and away from hardship. Tend a place well and it draws newcomers; let it decline and it empties. Crowds live their daily lives around you — and they even speak, in a voice all their own.
Build a Civilization
You do not just place buildings. You found communities, name them, govern them, and watch them take on a life of their own — for better or for worse.
Draw the borders and give the names — hamlet, village, town, neighborhood, city, county, province, country. Every tier is yours to found and shape, and watching a place you named grow from a few homes into a great city is the heart of the game.
Paint zones, subdivide land into lots, and set the character of each district. The world fills in around your intent — homes, work, and services growing where you make room for them.

Structures are generated to fit their lot and their style, so cities feel grown rather than stamped out. An expanding library of architectural styles — soon assembled from modular, mix-and-match kits — means no two skylines are the same.

Nations can take any real form — and none is simply “good” or “evil.” Governments shift with their people, rise and fall, can be reformed or overthrown, and are judged by their fruit: whether they do justice, protect the vulnerable, and lead toward liberty. Set policy and taxes, and feel the consequences travel up and down.
Two Ways to Play
Build the first and only civilization on an untouched world. A canvas for the patient steward — just you, the land, and what you choose to make of it.
Share the Earth with rival nations that build, trade, scheme, and war on their own. The world is shifting whether you act or not — ally, compete, or stand against the tide.
A World That Responds
Everything is connected. Tend one thing and another flourishes; harm one and another grieves. The world keeps an honest account — and answers, in time, to how you have kept it.
A single decision — a tax, a kindness, a neglect — spreads outward: a household, a neighborhood, a region, a nation. And the largest forces press back down onto the smallest lives. Nothing happens in isolation.
Nature does not yield endlessly. Soil tires, fields need fallow, forests renew through their cycles. Push the land without rest and it falters; honor its rhythms and it gives back — a quiet truth woven into how the world works.
Disease moves through crowding, filth, and neglect, and weighs hardest on those without care. Clean streets, good services, and the hospitals you build are the difference between an outbreak contained and a crisis that lingers. Hardship is felt, never glorified.
Let a place fall into disrepair and decline takes hold — blight, vermin, and despair feeding on one another. But nothing is beyond redemption: invest, repair, and care, and even a ruined district can be brought back to life.
How a people treats its weakest is the truest measure of its health — and the world keeps that account. Govern with justice and mercy and a society rises; rule by neglect and greed and it groans, and may fall. Ruin and restoration are both always within reach.
